Jakarta, Melaka trip...

School Holidays...feels quite relax..dun have to wake up early in the morning...dun have to worry about test...grades...hahaha..

i've just realise tat i've been traveling alot...first, i went to KL...then, to Jakarta...
travelling allows me to see the world in a different angle... sometimes you'll get to learn things that can't be found inside the internet.
Went to Jakarta becoz my mum needs to settle some business issue..i'm not sure wat its about...but i am sure tat i did a lot of shopping there... bought some LV bags, t-shirts...
and meet my cousin who lives in a street called Bukit Kencana.

And...A few days later after, went to Melaka/Malacca..

i did not stay that long in Melaka..only 3 days, 2 nights..

I did went to Melaka before but that was like 10 yrs ago... it was so long time ago!

Melaka has changed alot! it has developed...and there are quite alot of shopping centres at the town of Melaka.

first day, went for shopping at one of the shopping mall....one of them is called the Dataran Pahlawan... the things there are nice & affordable there..

This pic is a man on a 'becak'...i forgot wat they called it in English...Opps..

But anyway, they use this 'becak' as a transport...u can try it wen u go Melaka one day.

i'm not so sure how the 'becak' looks like in other countries..but in Melaka, it looks so special. they decorate it with flowers... i saw some of them even look like some royalty palace...decorate all the 'becak' with gold color. too bad i did not get to take a pic of tat gold color becak...

this is a very big damn shit.err..i mean ship.....it's so big..

it's actually a museum called Samudera Museum...

the ship looks like the one in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean...
actually, you'll need to pay if u want to go inside this ship.

But i did not go inside. coz I want to visit other places.

There is a reason why it is built like a ship...there's a history behind it..and it's all written on the black stone.

it's stated on the black stone that..

"The museum in the model of a Portuguese galleon reminds us of the ship “FLORA DE LA MAR”. it exhibits the maritime history of Malacca during the seven eras : THE FAMED MALAY SULTANATE ERA FROM THE 15TH CENTURY TO THE 1511 : THE PORTUGUESE ERA 1511 – 1641 : THE DUTCH ERA 1641 – 1795 : THE BRITISH ERA 1795 -1941 : MALAYSIA INDEPENDENCE ERA 1957 TO DATE.
Herein lies in the Cargo hold the invaluable treasures of the nation, taken away by the colonial masters after they had conquered Malacca in 1511. But by the will of God, the ship sank on January 26, 1512 in the straits of Malacca on her voyage to Europe. This museum serves as a reminder that once the political power is lost. Hence, everything will be lost."

Me and my sis at the Masjid Kampung Hulu (Kampung hulu Mosque)...

it was built in 1728(PS : gosh..1728?! tats like my great- great grandfather yr of birth!)

this mosque is said to be the oldest Mosque in Malaysia. Coool!

thic pic..hmm..
It's called the STADTHUYS.
it was an official residence of the Dutch Govenor in 1650.. so, at that time the dutch stay ard this church...now, it has become a historic museum and they display many traditional bridal costumes in there.

hmm..coconut...yummy..

Wah..my sister really make me lose weight by going up the stairs...

in this pic..we almost reach the top...

ATLAST!! this is the last staircase that i have to take....

do u realise tat the the staircase..one is made of stone and the other is made of red tiles?

the tiles are the new ones while the stones are the old ones...imagine how ppl in the olen days have to walk up the stairs that are made of stone...it must have been very slippery during rainy days...

Go all the way up just to see a tomb... -_-

anyway...just an interesting hint..these tomb, the words can only be seen during the rainy days...

there was once, my brother was sent to Melaka to do treasure hunt with his working friends and they were supposed to read the words tat are written on the tomb... but they couldn't see the words... then his friend told him to spill water onto the tomb..and afterwards, the words can be seen...wooo..scary..

there is so many other places tat i did not get to see but still, i had fun...as long as my mum buy me Pisang Goreng(fried banana)..everything will be ok. hehe..
alamak...i've juz realized something in the pics...i forgot to change the date in my digital cam...

well..well..well..I'll continue with the next post on my next trip. I'm going to travel somewhere today....can't tell u where i'm goin...haha..surprise, surprise,surprise...u'll have to wait for the next post.. * winking eye

what's life without confidence?

If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it.
last week, i called my friend who used my best friend in secondary sch 3 yrs ago but because we have to take a different route, we did not have time to interact more with each other like we used to.

when i called her, she told me everything, i felt very sorry for her.

both of us were in the same class until we are sec 4. when we are sec 4, we took our 'N' levels..
unfortunately, she did not make for her 'N' level. So, we had to go to different classes. but the second time she took her 'N' levels, she made it. by that time, i had already taken my 'O' levels..

before she took 'O' level for the first time, she was very confident and i thought she would get better grades than me. becoz... i've never seen her so confident before.

but i was wrong... she did not make it.she only passed 2 subjects...

and so now, she had to take 'O' levels again, she told me that she have no confidence in herself.
i know her style of studying...since sec 1, she will not ask her teacher questions to clarify her doubts. she's too shy...

this is very difficult beoz if you don't ask, you will never get to know the answer and will never improve in your studies. not only in studies but anything in life.

everyone needs confidence in their life...for example, if you are a teacher/ taxi driver/ chef, u need confidence to teach, drive, cook...

without confidence, you can't move on with life...

so...i told her that i am going to help her in building her self-esteem.
i hope that by helping her to build her confidence level, she can at least make her passed all the 4 subjects tat she retake this yr ...

Phew...

i was thinking...should i tell my mum about how i feel about the blind date thing?..
"ahh...it's better that i tell her..at least she knows.."

So, i decided to tell her about how i feel and how uncomfortable it can be for me and that guy to interact as normal..

at first, her eyes widen but then with my detailed and reasonable explanation, she understand..
Phew...hehe..

a few days ago, i went to KL by bus... i would prefer to go to KL by train... even though it is 8 hrs travelling time, but it's very comfortable..
there will be like a bed for you to sleep...and by the time you wake up, you've reach KL.

Now, after taking this bus to KL, i think i will want to take this bus again when i go to KL next time.

it's not just any bus. it's an aeroline bus. it's a double decker bus!

the fare is quite expensive but food is serve during the journey. there is even a lounge in the bus.. the lounge seats are nice soft sofa whereby you can strecth your legs..haha! tats wat i do for like 20 minutes, it feels like i am in my own living room.

the reason why i do it for only 20 minutes and not more than that is because a few people were looking at me..haha..lol..

the journey should take around 4 hrs... but because of that missing Masselamat, the policeman at the immigration is doing strict checking of each buses..hence, the travelling time to KL took around 6.5 hrs.

well, i take this opprtunity to watch 4 DVD movies.
remember i said that there is a lounge? yup..so i watch the movies in the lounge..

they even let me choose what movie i want to watch! hehe..
i watch national treasure, a french movie, freaky friday, etc..

at the singapore immigration, i saw policeman checking every bus and policeman carrying weapons, guns...

wat if some guy happen to look like Masselamat, i think the policeman will just shoot him straight away. scary...

hmm..reason for going to KL is to attend some family function...

the fun part is when my family and I want to go back from KL to spore, we took the aeroline bus again!...

and guess wat... i watch another 3 movies at the bus lounge.
i watch john tucker must die, enchanted and tokyo drift..

actually all these 3 movies i watched already, but i feel like watching it again since all the other movies are those that i have already watch and i know that it's quite boring...

but of all the movies, i love the movie, tokyo drift!
it has always been my favorite..too fast too furious is also my favorite!

i love car racing stuff since i was 10 yrs old. when i was young, i would play car racing games and challenge with the guys...
at that time, the gurls don't want to play car racing games with me so i play with the boys.

most of the time, i will be able to defeat the boys...yeah! coz i really practice alot..haha..was so obsessed with car racing..

i always dream of being involved in a real car racing...i love nitro.. should i be involved?...hmm..maybe...maybe not..

okay.. tat's all for today...i think i better stop before i continue typing even a longer post.. there's so much to tell..but i think i'll stop here for now..

Growing up

I was packing my table and all of a sudden i saw these 5 thick exercise books in a small hiden cabinet. And these exercise bks are my diaries!! . During my secondary school years, i always write everything that happen on that day on my diary.

Gosh...it's like my life from sec 1 to sec 5..

So, i decided to stop packing my table and read my diaries.
i keep laughing at some of the pages because in those diaries...
i talk about alot of ppl in my sch, my love life, my teachers, my 2 BESTFRIENDS!!...

i even wrote about being scolded by my physics teacher..

during those yrs, we created names for our classmates...
i remember me and my best friends are called as ' multi racial gang'... becoz the three of us are from different races...chinese, malay n indian.

there is a grp of boys known as "the Jacks"... there were 5 boys in the grp..
one of them was called 'jack and the beanstalk, jack on the elevator, jack...and so on."
all their name started with "jack". LoL..

And there was one moment, i said to myself while reading my diary, "i can't believe i've said tat!"...

valentine's day cards..gosh, so embarrassing!(face turning red)..i can't believe wat i wrote in the valentine card...

well, i guess this is all part of growing up..HAHAHA

A blind date

Is ‘blind date’ still happening at this era?
I thought it does not happen anymore but it did happen to me

My mum arranged a ‘blind date’ without even telling me.
That is so unfair. I met with the guy called Lan.
i did not even know it was a blind date...
The first day, when I first see him, he wasn’t happy.
But end up, we interact well. We talked most about school stuff.
i talked to him liked how i talk to other people...
jus being normal around him..

But a few days after tat, I realize my mum is trying to put me and him together.
Lan's dad is also trying to make us together.

My mum keep telling me “I think he likes you..”
Which I dun think so.

A few months later, which is this month,March ’08..
We met again. But now, we are not talking to each other.

His dad and my mum have a hard time talking to each other because they see us not talking to each other.
They feel restless and my mum keep asking me why I don’t talk to him at all.

I said “ I don’t know..”

Until now, she still force me to talk to him. She demand me to call him. She pressed the number on the phone for me and kind of demand me to talk to him on the phone. She raised her voice when I say “NO..” and she will still want me to talk to him.
in the end, i still have to talk to him and the phone and it made me sound like some desperate girl. surprisingly,he didn’t even call me or sms me once.

My mother suddenly came and talk to me that she thinks Lan is scared of his father. “I think he get scolded by his father and brother for not calling you", she said to me personally.

I said to myself, “his brother scolded him? What for? His brother doesn’t even know me. this is definitely a set up. No wonder when we first met, Lan wasn’t really happy to see me..i gues he is also being forced to date with me.”

Gosh…we both are in the same situation. HaHa.. I guess he is also being forced to call me. his dad scolded him for not calling me and my mum scolded me for not calling him.
.

She told me once before,” maybe you can be friends with him..who knows you might fall in love and get married to him in the future…”

Becoz of this sentence that she said, it has made me not to talk to him at all..

She set up a blind date without telling me and then now, talk about marriage!
What is this?!
well, i dun mind being friends with him but geting married...tat's like too fast for me
.
But Hey..come on..i’m just 19 yrs old.. I want to find on my own..

But if she were to set up another blind date again, I think I will run away from home.

I am too young to deal with this ‘blind date’ thing… if I am 30 and still not married, I don’t mind going for a blind date but still I won’t comfortable…

Arghh!! Can someone give me a better suggestion to deal with this problem?...

Culture SHOCK

today's just gonna share with you a new phrase tat i have learn from my uncle who is from KL.
i just found out that there is such word as 'culture shock'...
actually, when he say the word "culture shock", it reminds me of culture module...
i kind of miss culture module. i get to learn meaningful things.. those who go to RP, you know what is culture module all about..

it is a term used to describe the feelings of surprise, disorientation, confusion, etc...

it's felt when people have to live within an entirely different cultural such as a foreign country.

sometimes, just becoz he/she cannot cope/adapt in the new culture, it can even cause the person to not know what is appropriate or what is not...

JLO gave birth and HSM 3

today, i've heard quite a handful of news happening...
according to what i read in the magazine...

Jennifer Lopez, gave birth to twins...one girl and the other is a boy...

the twins are named Emme and Max.

the media are paying her 6 million to 7 million just to take a picture of her babies..
Wow, she's making money...

actually, she is my favourite because in every concert that she used to performed, she will make sure it is 100% or maybe even 200% excellent.. she will put in so much effort to give the best performance... even though she was pregnant, she make it for her concert (the pic below..)

hmm..She put on weight..hehe..but she still look great!

i read in teen's magazine that there is going to be (HSM) high school musical 3....they seriously going to make another one?

i hope it will be much better than high school musical 2...

it's going to be 12 midnight soon...gotta go to sleep..

before i end this post, i'll share with you a joke that i just read from the internet..

but i dun really find it tat funny,actually..Haha..lol

it's called, "the Devil You know"

One bright, beautiful Sunday morning, everyone in tiny Smithville wakes up early and goes to their local church. Before the service starts, the townspeople sit in their pews and talk about their lives, their families, etc. Suddenly, at the altar, Satan appears! Everyone starts screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in their frantic efforts to get away from Evil Incarnate. Soon, everyone is evacuated from the church except for one man, who sits calmly in his pew, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy is in his presence.

Satan approaches the man and says, "Hey, don't you know who I am?"

The man says, "Yep, sure do."

Satan asks, "Well, aren't you afraid of me?"

The man says, "Nope, sure ain't."

Satan, perturbed, says, "And why aren't you afraid of me?"

"Well, I've been married to your sister for 25 years."
